Terms of Use

Last updated October 3, 2026 · These terms are the End User License Agreement (EULA) for Handrail.

Handrail is made by Midpoint Software Group ("we"). By using the app you agree to these terms. If you don't, please don't use it.

What Handrail is

Handrail helps you keep track of work shifts, leave-by times, and paperwork. It is an organizing tool. It does not provide medical or legal advice and is not a substitute for reading your own documents. Handrail is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Health-related appointment and pharmacy checklists are organizational tools, not clinical guidance. The built-in medication reminder is removed from Android version 1.1.1; older versions may still contain it. Consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The app's readings and answers are generated by AI and can be wrong — check dates and amounts before you rely on them. You are responsible for what you do with them.

Your account

You need an account to use Handrail. Keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has it. You must be 13 or older. You can request deletion from Profile → Delete my account, or through our account deletion page.

Handrail Pro

• Shifts, leave-by alarms, the prep timeline, essentials, and Reset are free.
• Handrail Pro unlocks capture reading, "What am I forgetting?", and Ask Handrail. A small number of free reads are included so you can try it.
• Pro is an auto-renewing subscription: $4.99 per month or $59.99 per year (prices may vary by region and are shown in the app before purchase).
• On Android, payment is charged through Google Play at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before renewal. Manage or cancel in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, or use Manage or cancel Handrail in Google Play. Cancellation stops future renewals; you normally retain access until the paid period ends. Uninstalling Handrail or deleting your Handrail account does not cancel your subscription. Refund eligibility follows Google Play refund policies and applicable law.
• On iOS, payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel in your App Store account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.

Acceptable use

Don't use Handrail to store or process material you don't have the right to, don't try to break into other people's data, and don't reverse-engineer or resell the service. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or the AI features (for example, automated or excessive requests).

Your content

What you capture is yours. You give us only the permission needed to store it, read it when you ask, and show it back to you. See the Privacy Policy for how it's handled.

Availability and changes

We try to keep Handrail running, but it's provided "as is" without warranties. We may change or discontinue features. If we ever shut the service down we'll give reasonable notice so you can export your data.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Midpoint Software Group is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for missed shifts, missed payments, or losses that come from relying on the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Google Play

For Android purchases, Google Play handles checkout and subscription management under the terms applicable to your Google Play account. These Handrail terms are between you and Midpoint Software Group; Google does not provide Handrail customer support. The price, currency, billing period, and any offer shown by Google Play at checkout apply to your purchase.

Apple

These terms are between you and Midpoint Software Group, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app and is not responsible for any claims about it. For the iOS version, where these terms are silent, Apple's standard EULA applies.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA.
